Now that you understand building websites is not too hard, you need to understand where the money comes in. This is the fun part!

Depending on what you choose, or combine out of these following options will be how your website earns you money.

Google AdSense – This is a very useful way to earn money once you have your site up and going. Google AdSense allows websites to sign up into their advertising program. You are allowed to put google advertisements on your website and every time someone visits your site and clicks that advertisement, you earn roughly, $1.

Affiliate Marketing – Your website needs to have a topic, or a “niche”, you will hear that word often in the online world. Your niche is what dictates what goes on your website. You want to write posts often, about your niche. You will use these posts to attract customers. The customer reads what you had to say about your “niche,” most likely art, and if you recommend a product to them, like a good paint or the best spinning table, and they decide to buy it, you earn a commission of that product.

Selling Your Own Products – This can be a very fun part of your online business. If you can get people interested in your posts on your website, you can tie in posts about your own art, that someone you would have never met without your online business, might buy.

You gain traffic by writing blog posts about keywords.

Keywords are going to be the way you find out what people are searching for. You need a keyword tool for this! You want to find keywords that have a lot of people searching for them but not a lot of other websites already talking about them.

You are going to write your posts around a certain keyword with a lot of searches per month. The more you can write the better the post and the more views you will get.
